Mount Datuk, located in Rembau, Negeri Sembilan stands at 886 meter above sea level. It may not be the highest mountain around but it provides hikers with a beautiful view at the summit. The mountain has a lush eco system, and is famous for its forest. The trail is very enjoyable, with the summit peaking out between huge boulders that looks as if it's stacked on top of each other.
This trip is organized by Euro-Asia Holidays Pte Ltd. TA: 00610 Mount Datuk, located in Rembau, Negeri Sembilan stands at 886 meter above sea level. It may not be the highest mountain around but it provides hikers with a beautiful view at the summit. The mountain has a lush eco system, and is famous for its forest. The trail is very enjoyable, with the summit peaking out between huge boulders that looks as if it's stacked on top of each other. This time, we will start as early as 4:30am to catch the sunrise! The trail is not easy, but not so challenging as to require trekkers to overnight on the mountain. From Intake/Starting Point, it takes about 2-3 hours for a non-hiker to reach the summit. Regular hikers who are fit enough can easily make it to the summit in 45 minutes. This is a beginner friendly hike but beginners are required to have a sufficient level of physical fitness level to complete the hike. Difficulty level: Moderate Turnaround time: 1230pm (Due to safety reasons and for group consideration, if you can’t reach summit by this time, you will have to turn back to the base) Beginners with hiking experience are allowed to join. A good level of fitness and/or trekking experience is required. If you're not confident about attempting Mount Datuk watch out for our popup local hikes to build up your fitness and stamina. Essentials packing list: 1. At least 6 months Validity of passport and visa (if you require it) 2. Malaysian and Singaporean currency for personal use 3. Mobile phone 4. Comfortable clothes for change (Dry clothes) 5. Rain-gear 6. Slippers/sandals( after washup) 7. Insect repellent 8. 1.5 litre or more drinking water 9. Gloves (Compulsory) 10. Sunscreen 11. Jacket (Our transport is cold) 12. Headlamp / Torchlight (Compulsory)
Suggested Itinerary: (Subject to Change) 15 Feb (Friday) 11pm Pick up from Marsiling MRT Station and transfer to Mt Datuk 16 Feb (Saturday) 1:30am Short break @ Yong Peng Rest Stop (Pack your breakfast here) 3:30am Reach base of Mt Datuk (Rest for about 1hr) 4:30am Start hiking 7:30am Reach summit and have breakfast 8am Start descend 11:00am Reach base 11:30am Clean up and transfer to Melaka 12:30pm Free & Easy walk at Jonker Street 2pm Depart to Singapore 5:30 pm Arrive at Marsiling MRT
